Beliefs

At their simplest, these are some of the key beliefs that many Christians holds.

• There is only one God and Father of all, the Creator of all people and things.
• All people are by their very nature not able to do what God wants.
• God wants all people to know Him and to be with Him forever. However, God gave everyone the ability to choose between Him and His ways or our own ways.
• Jesus, the Son of God and our Lord, came to earth about 2000 years ago and lived as a man. He came to make a way for people to know God. Jesus is a man, yet He is also God. He was born of a woman, but His Father is God in Heaven.
• Jesus was nailed to a wooden cross until He died, He was buried, and on the third day God raised Jesus from the dead to live again forever. Jesus lives now in Heaven, with God the Father.
• There are consequences to your beliefs.
• There will be a final day of judgement on the Earth. Jesus will come again to take those to Heaven who have believed in Him and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
• Those who have not accepted Jesus will be sent to hell.
• The faith that a Christian has, has been given by God. There is actually nothing a person has to offer to God. God is the one who makes everything possible, even your belief in Him.
• God is always wanting to talk with us and us to talk with Him. He loves to communicate with us.
• God gave us everything we need to know about Him and us in the Bible.
• Jesus sent God's Spirit to be with Christians when He left the earth.
• There is a creature, Satan, who exists in opposition to God.
