Founder

The history of Sikhism essentially begins with the birth of Guru Nanak. He was born in 1469 in the Punjab. Guru Nanak revealed fundamental principals embodied in all religions and laid the foundations for Sikhism. The subsequent Gurus formalised Sikhism and created a group of people with distinct values, beliefs and psyche. Today Sikhs are to be found in every open society.
